520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc | Cambridge First Certificate Reading New Edition approaches reading in a communicative, process-oriented way while providing thorough training for Paper 1 of the FCE exam. It begins with a foundation unit which outlines ways to develop and improve reading skills. Fifteen themed 'learning units' follow, based around motivating reading texts which have been drawn from a range of authentic sources. These units contain a wide variety of activities and exercise types. A review unit draws together the learning and revising techniques presented and practised in the book while a section of five practice tests enables learners to test their progress and develop their exam skills further. Students are guided throughout by helpful, illustrated exam tips and study hints. The Teacher's Book provides practical teaching notes and a key to the exercises. It also suggests ways of extending the activities. |
